As one of the world’s most renowned ballet companies, The National Ballet of Canada is recognized internationally for their diverse repertoire, contemporary sensibility, and exceptional talent.
Founded in 1951, The National Ballet of Canada has a storied history that includes the likes of Nureyev and Baryshnikov, and has taken the company from its home in Toronto to venues all around the world. The company also has a long history of pre-eminent Artistic Directors and, in January 2022, welcomed Artistic Director Hope Muir.

These talented, young artists are selected from around the world to join the prestigious SFB trainee program. Past dancers hailed from Australia, Canada, Greece, Iceland, South Korea, Portugal and the United States.
The trainees, who represent the future of ballet, are on the cusp of their professional careers. Each year the Sun Valley performances mark the dancers' on-stage debut, as they perform together for the first time after convening in San Francisco only 8 weeks prior! A truly amazing feat that is a testament to their unmatched talent.

HOLIDAY DONOR GATHERING
PRIVATE DONOR EVENT
An annual BSV Donor Event, the Holiday Soirée offers a bespoke dance experience in an intimate setting. Past events have featured pop-up performances by principal dancers from Pacific Northwest Ballet, Lines Ballet and San Francisco Ballet. And, in 2025 for the first time, a new work was commissioned for this special event. Stay tuned for exciting details about the 2025 event.
